About Me

I grew up in North Salt Lake City, Utah and I claim a bit of Chicago, Illinois. As a kid I loved anything with computers and technology. Some of my favorite memories are playing Robocode with my bother or building a line following robot with my grandpa.

I am currently finishing up a Computer Engineering degree at Utah Valley University. I also work as product owner for Xirect. Where I build tools for the MLM industry. I am still very passionate about technology and I have bunch of half way finished projects in my basement.

Where I want to end up is building computer hardware for the harsh environment of space. I am fanatic space nerd and I want to design and build  things on that level to see how far can we go. When I die I want it to be on a different rock.

Roanoke Game Jam

Game Link Game Jam Time! This time around my game jam team competed in the Extra Credits Game Jam #3. It was some stiff competition with 280 entries. Man it was an great experience. My friends and I are big fans of resource management games and real time strategy games, so we figured we would stretch ourselves with this game and the results were fantastic. We ended up with Oregon trail mixed with a settlement building. At launch we had some fantastic bugs, like beavers that will rob you over and over again.  My contributions for this game was the game itself. I designed the gritty details of how it played. I tried on making it so each of the resources felt unique. I ended coding how the buildings affect your resources. The thing I spent the most time on was coding the encounters.  From this experience I learned that game balancing is pretty difficult. The thing i wish we had more time for was balancing. some of the encounters ended up hitting to hard and success really came

Judgeless

Judgeless is code name for a personal project that is a cloud storage for URLs and other useful sites. If you put a number in the ID field and hit enter you can see the sites stored there and you can add new sites in the text box with hitting enter afterwards. A friend of mine built the UI and set up the hosting. I set up the Lambda APIs and MySQL server on the back end. App Link
